Whom Should We Put Our Trust?
Dear Christian
friends!
Always remember that Jesus is Lord!
To Christians, not only in the USA, but also in Canada and the UK, it’s
no secret that we are witnessing a concerted attempt to marginalise the
Christian faith. To put out the light of the Gospel, by a vicious
secular-humanist agenda that is being foisted upon our nations.
The attempts to silence Police chaplains in
Virginia from praying ‘in the name of Jesus’ (please refer to 'Chaplains can pray in Jesus' name' below)
together with the many instances of Christian workers and street preachers
being punished for remaining true to their convictions in the UK, are examples
of this sinister agenda. (Source: info

Chaplains Can Pray “in Jesus’ Name.”
The Governor of the US State of Virginia, Bob McDonnell has restored the rights of six State Police chaplains to pray publically “in Jesus’ Name.” Reversing the policy of his predecessor Governor Tim Kaine, who forced the chaplains to deny Christ, or resign from their jobs.
“This victory comes after a two-year campaign for Jesus name,” said Chaplain Klingenschmitt, who led a 1000 person rally outside the Governor’s mansion in 2008, then submitted up to 15,000 petitions to reinstate the chaplain’s jobs and free speech.
2300 pastors worked to overturn the previous vote of 44-47 to a 59-41 victory for McDonnell because of this issue.”
Now that Bob McDonnell has fulfilled his campaign pledge, the six chaplain heroes including Rex Carter and Mike Honaker, who’d turned in their badges rather than deny Jesus Christ will be invited back into their chaplain jobs – and given free speech to pray “in Jesus’ Name.

Haiti:
Faith still Strong after earthquake
Several months after the January 12th Earthquake, in which a
quarter of a million lost their lives Haiti is still struggling to rise up from
the rubble. US newspaper Post Tribune’s Jerry Davich visited recently and met
Christian workers who are helping to meet the needs of the people. This shows
that the surge in faith was not a momentary thing.
David attended a Sunday service at Eglise Sans Church (Church without worries)
an Assemblies of God church that was badly damaged in the earthquake. With a
hodge-podge of tarps serving as a roof, more than 1000 Haitians converged there
to worship. He says, “They squeezed into pews, stood on nearby rooftops and lined adjacent
streets...anything to be close to the church and hear the preacher’s sermon via
loud speakers.”
Praise God that the Gospel of Jesus brings hope to a broken people.
